Who I am

Teeworks is a trading name of Taurat Ali, BA 707, Nexus Connect, Esh, Durham, DH7 9QR. I am the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact me about your data at hello@teeworks.co.uk.

What I collect, why, and my lawful basis

Providing your order details is necessary for me to make and deliver your card. Without them I cannot complete your order. I do not use your details for marketing, and I do not make decisions about you by automated means.

Where your information comes from

From you, at checkout or by email, and from Stripe, which passes me details of your order and payment.

Who I share it with

Stripe (payments), Royal Mail (delivery, using your name, address and phone number if needed), my email and storage providers, my website host (which handles contact form messages), and my accountant or HMRC where the law requires. I do not sell your information.

Transfers outside the UK

Stripe and some of my providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards the UK recognises, such as the UK addendum to standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. The fonts on this page are served from this site, so your browser does not contact Google for them.

Cookies

This page sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, which are covered by Stripe’s own privacy and cookie policies.

How long I keep it

Order and payment records for six years from the end of the tax year they relate to, because tax law requires it. Emails for as long as needed to deal with your order and any claim, and no longer than six years.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how I use it, and receive it in a portable form. Some rights are limited where I must keep records by law. Email me and I will reply within one month. There is no charge.

Complaints

Please tell me first so I can put things right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If I change this policy I will update the date at the top.
